Warriors Make Incredible Steph Curry Era History in Pacers Win
The Golden State Warriors have gone 92-154 in the Steph Curry era when the sharpshooter has been sidelined. Entering Sunday’s contest against the Indiana Pacers, they were 1-9 in their previous 10 games without Curry, not having won a game since a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2024-25 season.
In a surprising turn of events, the Curry-less Warriors blew out the Pacers, 114-83, to snap their two-game losing streak and improve to 6-5 in the 2025-26 season. As a result, they created an incredible piece of history, according to ESPN Insights.
“The Warriors’ 31-point win vs. the Pacers (114-83) is the team’s largest victory in a game without Steph Curry since he entered the NBA in 2009-10,” read the X account.
Warriors Bolstered By Butler Return
Although Steph Curry (illness) sat out a third consecutive game, the Warriors received a significant shot in the arm over the weekend in the form of Jimmy Butler III’s return. The veteran swingman missed two games last week due to lower back spasms and looked sluggish in his return during a 129-104 blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets.
In Sunday’s game, Butler proved why the Warriors paid a premium to acquire him at last season’s trade deadline. The 36-year-old posted 21 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block, while finishing a +19 on the floor.
With Curry expected back for Tuesday’s blockbuster clash against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the reigning NBA champions, the Warriors will be whole for the first time in the 2025-26 season, after earlier injuries to Moses Moody and Butler.
Warriors Finally Getting Healthy
Another positive piece of news coming out of Sunday’s win is Al Horford’s production of 12 points, four rebounds and three blocks in just 18 minutes of action. The NBA champion has been unable to play back-to-back games, and his production hasn’t been nearly as good as it was in his last two seasons with the Boston Celtics.
NBC Sports Bay Area’s Dalton Johnson explained why Horford’s performance was a huge plus for the Warriors in the win over the Pacers.
“Al Horford had his best game with the Warriors,” wrote the Warriors beat writer. “The 39-year-old center hadn’t made a three in the first week-plus of November, going 0 of 7 in his last game and 0 of 2 in the Warriors’ loss to the Pacers to open the month. Sunday night against the same team, Horford finally found a rhythm.
“He missed his first attempt but made his final four of five, scoring 12 points – all threes – in 18 minutes off the bench. Horford also had four rebounds and blocked three shots.”
Dolphins Trade Pitch Lands Them Veteran Fill-In For Injured All-Pro

The Miami Dolphins got a brutal blow on Monday night after wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, was carted off following a gruesome-looking leg injury in the third quarter of the game.
The Dolphins still managed to win the game, 27-21, courtesy of a pair of Darren Waller touchdowns, an impressive performance from DeVon Achane, and a shocking goal-line forced fumble from
Dolphins Could Be Forced To Trade For Another Receiver
Despite the team having the likes of Waller, Achane, and former first round pick, Jaylen Waddle on the roster, Miami has very much been a team that needs a surplus of strong, fast offensive weapons around quarterback,
With head coach, Mike McDaniel’s job potentially on the line in what could shape up to be a critical fourth year, McDaniel and the team may look for a quick replacement for Hill, who suffered a
A patella – or knee – dislocation has an expected recovery timeline of around 3-6 months, meaning that the five-time All-Pro and Super Bowl LIV champion will likely miss the grand majority, if not the entirety of the remainder of the 2025 season.
As such, given Hill’s injury and the pressure on both McDaniel and Tagovailoa, it could make a lot of sense for the team to make a move for Las Vegas Raiders
Why A Jakobi Meyers Trade Could Work For Both Sides
Meyers has been a remarkably consistent do-all receiver since arriving in the league in 2019, and posted his best season yet in 2024 when he managed 87 receptions for 1,027 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
This season he is off to a relatively strong start, managing 258 yards in his first four games with Vegas. Yet, echoes of his offseason trade request likely linger in and around the franchise, and despite the Raiders initially declining the request this past offseason, a 1-3 start that has landed them at the pit of the the AFC West could give them pause to reconsider
And as the team looks to keep progressing in its rebuild, it is possible that the team looks to their other younger, cheaper options on the roster, including rookies Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton, and second year third round pick, Tre Tucker, as the main targets for quarterback, Geno Smith, alongside All-Pro tight end, Brock Bowers.
The conventional wisdom would say that it would be illogical for Miami – as a 1-3 team – to give up draft capital in trading for a veteran player from another 1-3 team. However, it is worth remembering that despite their identical records, these teams are in very different positions.
The Raiders are not required to be an excellent team in year 1 of Pete Carroll’s franchise rebuild, whilst McDaniel and general manager, Chris Grier’s jobs could both be on the line after years of mediocrity and lack of progress in the postseason.
