NBA 2K26 is set to drop soon, and player ratings for the game have started to be revealed. These are not the gospel of truth, as video game ratings and real-life ratings don't always equate, but they do offer a glimpse into what Miami's roster may look like compared to the rest of the NBA.
It's with that in mind that we offer two truths that we think 2K got right and one downright lie.
Truth - Miami doesn't have a true superstar
The highest-rated player for the Heat is Bam Adebayo, rated 88 overall and the 30th highest-rated player in the game. Tyler Herro did get a bump this year, but despite being an All-Star for the first time, he comes in 42nd overall with an 86 rating.
As we here at All U Can Heat have written all offseason, this tracks with the roster Miami has built for the 2025-26 campaign, where the Heat are hoping that a young core of players can gel and be stronger as a unit than what their individual quality might indicate.
Truth - Don't sleep on Norman Powell
The one roster addition of significance the Heat did make was the addition of Norman Powell from the Los Angeles Clippers.
Powell is the only other Heat player to be in the top 100, coming in at 58th overall with an 84 rating. That's higher than Orlando's newcomer Desmond Bane, of whom the Magic paid a fortune to get.
Powell is coming off a career season with the Clippers, where he averaged 21.8 points per game while shooting 41% from three.
Lie - Andrew Wiggins is declining
Andrew Wiggins is not in the top 100 for this year's game, but some of the guys who made it ahead of him are noticeable.
Wiggins never morphed into a true superstar in the NBA, but he has been a steady hand for a decade, and last year was no exception. After a down year in 2023-24, Wiggins was still north of 18 points a game last year.
And when he was traded from Golden State to Miami as part of the Jimmy Butler deal, his production actually went up over the 17 games he played with the Heat.
But when a guy like Jalen Suggs makes the top 100, who had the first decent run of his NBA career last year before getting hurt, but still had numbers that were lower than Wiggins, it's a head scratcher.
