Strange New Worlds Has To Give This Original Star Trek Icon The Enterprise’s Captain’s Chair
The Starship Enterprise in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has no lack of command-level officers who can sit in the captain's chair in place of Captain Pike. Lt. Commander Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) is First Officer and more than capable of commanding the Enterprise.
Lieutenant Spock (Ethan Peck) has also commanded the Starship Enterprise when the need arose, such as in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' season 2 premiere when Captain Pike was off-ship and Number One was on trial by Starfleet.
However, as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds gradually assembles the USS Enterprise crew that will one day serve under Captain Kirk, one of those Starfleet Officers needs experience in the captain's chair to set up one of their key functions in
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Needs To Let Scotty Sit In The Starship Enterprise’s Captain’s Chair
Lieutenant Montgomery Scott (Martin Quinn) has only had a limited time on the bridge, but
When Scotty becomes Chief Engineer in Star Trek: The Original Series, he is often tasked with sitting in the captain's chair and commanding the Enterprise when Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) are off-ship, which is often.
Just as Pelia is teaching Scotty how to be a "miracle worker," Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' final two seasons should give Scotty the opportunity to command the Enterprise and set up this aspect of Mr. Scott's duties in
Why Scotty Commanded The Enterprise In Star Trek: The Original Series
Scotty is Chief Engineer in Star Trek: The Original Series, so it may seem unusual that he often commanded the USS Enterprise when Captain Kirk and Commander Spock were away.
However, Scotty is ranked Lt. Commander in Star Trek: The Original Series. As a senior officer, Mr. Scott is authorized to sit in the Starship Enterprise's captain's chair.
In some episodes of
Further, compared to Captain Pike's crew, Captain Kirk's USS Enterprise is short a command officer because Mr. Spock holds the dual position of First Officer and Science Officer.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has 2 more seasons and 16 episodes still to come. Hopefully, Strange New Worlds will concoct a scenario to let Lieutenant Scott command the USS Enterprise and set up one of Scotty's crucial jobs in
‘Golden Bachelor’s’ Nicolle Dishes on Who She Thinks Lacks Chemistry with Mel Owens

Spilling the tea...
Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Nicolle as she looks for love with Mel Owens on Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
Nicolle noticeably got cozy with Mel in the pool early on, leading to some tension and drama with the other women in the Mansion.
Now, she’s joining the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to spill the tea on her journey and who she thinks lacks chemistry with the Golden Bachelor.
Reflecting on her time with Mel at the pool party, she shared that she felt their strong connection was obvious to the other women in the house.

“I was one of them, and I think it really upset a lot of women,” she expressed. “I had a great time at the pool party. I looked around and it didn’t look like anyone else was gonna go, so I just decided that it would be me. And so I jumped in the pool and made some other joke, a football pun about intercepting, and then I don’t know what happened. We just had a lot of chemistry and attraction that was really natural and that makes it a lot of fun.”
She went on, “I was aware though that other women were starting to stare at me… I sensed, you know how you sense an energy, like, ‘Oh, cold.’ But you know, I wanted to balance it because I was new in the house, we were all new in the house, and I wanted to be liked. I want to make friends, so I didn’t want to upset them too much. However, I will tell you, I could [not] have cared less what they thought.”
Nicolle also admitted that she was surprised by some of Mel’s choices at the Rose Ceremonies.

“I was so surprised by the outcome of every single Rose Ceremony,” she said. “I was surprised by who stayed and who he sent home that night. But you know what, it’s all about his chemistry with people, so it wasn’t my show to choose. But it was, just from observing it and being in it, I was very surprised every single Rose Ceremony.”
Nicolle then revealed who she felt had good chemistry with Mel and who didn’t.
“I was in the front section of women for sure… There were people in that section that I didn’t understand why they were in there, but they were,” she stated. “The people that I feel like had genuine chemistry with him or that I thought they actually went together, that they would make a good couple. I thought he and Carol made a lot of sense. She lives there, they’re both into sports for careers, etc. I think Cindy was a cute [choice], I think they had chemistry. [Debbie] I don’t get it, I don’t get it, but okay. I love Debbie, love her. But I don’t know. No comment. And Gerri, I feel like Gerri and he had a warmth that I really enjoyed watching.”
