Seahawks’ Riq Woolen on Colts’ Radar Ahead of Trade Deadline
As the NFL trade deadline approaches on November 4, the Indianapolis Colts are reportedly exploring a trade for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen, who has become one of the league's most prolific ball-hawking defenders. Known for his size, speed, and playmaking ability, Woolen has recorded 11 interceptions and 30 pass breakups over his career.
“It’s always great to be recognized for your work on the field,” Woolen said when asked about the trade rumors. “But at the end of the day, I’m focused on helping this team win, whether that’s in Seattle or anywhere else. If a move happens, I’ll be ready.”
Reports suggest that Woolen, despite his impressive stats, may not be a perfect fit in Seattle’s defensive scheme under head coach Mike Macdonald. This has led to speculation that the Seahawks might be willing to move him before the trade deadline.
“If the rumors are true, it’s a business,” Woolen added. “I’m just doing my job here and focusing on the team. I’ll keep working hard and if the time comes for a change, I’ll adapt and do what’s best for my career.”
The Colts, who have been active in pursuing defensive upgrades, are reportedly interested in bolstering their cornerback depth, especially after the unexpected retirement of veteran cornerback Xavien Howard earlier this season. Woolen’s ability to change the game with his ball skills and physicality would be a huge addition to the Colts' secondary.
“I’m always striving to get better,” Woolen said. “Whether it’s interceptions or pass breakups, I want to be someone who can make plays when the team needs it the most.”
The trade would also be a chance for the Colts to further solidify their defense as they prepare for a potential playoff run, with Woolen’s athletic profile making him a perfect fit in a secondary looking to make an impact on opposing quarterbacks.
“It would be exciting to join a team that’s making a push for the playoffs,” Woolen said when asked about the potential trade. “But for now, I’m focused on what’s in front of me. I’m just preparing and getting ready for whatever happens next.”
As the November 4 deadline draws near, both the Colts and Seahawks will have important decisions to make regarding Woolen’s future. If the trade goes through, it would bolster the Colts' defense significantly for the second half of the season.
Giants’ Tyrone Tracy Jr. Steps Up Following Cam Skattebo’s Season-Ending Injury

With the New York Giants’ offense dealing with a significant setback following the season-ending injury to rookie running back Cam Skattebo, the team is now looking to second-year player Tyrone Tracy Jr. to step up in a bigger role. Skattebo, who had become a standout player for the Giants with five rushing touchdowns and over 400 total yards this season, suffered a dislocated ankle in the Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He underwent successful surgery and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
“It’s tough to see Cam go down like that,” Tracy said, reflecting on Skattebo’s injury. “We’re all behind him, and I’m going to do everything I can to help this team keep moving forward. I know it’s my time to step up, and I’m ready for the challenge.”
Tracy, who led the Giants in rushing last season with 839 yards, had a strong start to the 2025 campaign, although he missed two games due to a dislocated shoulder. In his six appearances so far this season, he has gained 159 rushing yards, 68 receiving yards, and one touchdown. Now, with Skattebo out, Tracy is expected to take on a larger role in the Giants’ offense.
“I’m prepared to carry the load,” Tracy said after being asked about his new responsibilities. “The coaches have put their trust in me, and I’m just focusing on doing what I’ve been doing all season—staying ready, staying focused, and doing what it takes to help the team win.”
Head coach Brian Daboll has expressed confidence in Tracy’s ability to step up in Skattebo’s absence. Tracy’s professionalism and ability to stay ready despite his reduced role earlier this season have earned him the trust of the coaching staff.
“Tyrone has been solid for us all year,” Daboll said. “He’s a dynamic player with great vision and quickness. We know he’s capable of being the guy for us now, and we’re excited to see him take on this bigger role.”
Offensive lineman Greg Van Roten also praised Tracy, calling him one of the most professional players on the roster.
“Tyrone has really grown into his role this year,” Van Roten said.
The Giants' next challenge comes in Week 9, where they’ll face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. With Skattebo sidelined, Tracy’s performance will be crucial for the team as they look to rebound from recent setbacks and keep their playoff hopes alive.
“It’s going to be a tough road ahead, but we’ve got a great group of guys,” Tracy said. “I’m ready to step up, and I know we can do this together as a team.”
As the Giants look to turn things around, all eyes will be on Tracy to see how he handles the increased workload and the opportunity to lead the team’s rushing attack moving forward.
