Nick Sirianni Issues Cryptic Injury Update on A.J. Brown
Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2025 campaign looking to repeat as Super Bowl champions after they destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX last year. However, if they intend on doing that, they are going to need their star players to stay healthy, and one player, wide receiver A.J. Brown, has been battling an injury in recent days.
Ever since being acquired in a trade with the Tennessee Titans, Brown has become the Eagles’ top option in the passing game. He picked up a hamstring injury recently, though, and when asked about Brown’s status on Thursday, Sirianni provided a rather murky update on his status that will catch fans’ attention.
Nick Sirianni Weighs In on A.J. Brown Injury Status
Brown broke into the league as a second-round pick with the Tennessee Titans, and he immediately turned himself into one of the top big-play threats in the league. However, with the Titans not interested in handing Brown the big-money deal he was set to command, they traded him to Philadelphia after the 2021 season.
Since landing on the Eagles roster, Brown has taken his game to another level, helping them advance to the Super Bowl twice in the past three years. Brown has earned a spot on the All-Pro Second Team all three seasons he’s played in Philadelphia, while also getting selected to the Pro Bowl twice.
Ahead of the new campaign, Brown is dealing with a hamstring injury, and while it isn’t believed to be serious, it is going to cause some concern among fans. Sirianni knows that Brown’s health is going to be a big topic of discussion for the time being, but he refused to dive into the details of his situation.
“Our goal is to get all these guys ready to be firing on all cylinders once the season hits,” Sirianni said when speaking with reporters. “Not gonna get into too much of that stuff. He’s working through some things, and he’ll be back out there when he can.”
Should Nick Sirianni and the Eagles Be Concerned About A.J. Brown’s Injury?

Anytime a player suffers any sort of ailment, whether big or small, there’s going to be concern, especially when they are as good as Brown is. While this injury doesn’t seem to be all that worrisome, the longer Brown stays off the field, the more concerned folks will become. Regardless, Sirianni isn’t going to weigh on it too much, as there’s no sense rushing him back to the field right now.
Brown’s status will be worth keeping an eye on in the coming days, and while it may take him a little bit longer than expected to get back into the action, the expectation is that he will be on the field come Week 1. Sirianni’s update, or lack thereof, may throw some folks off, but if all goes according to plan, Brown will be ready to go once the games actually matter for Philadelphia.
