Jayson Tatum’s New Appearance Catches Celtics Fans’ Attention

The 2025 NBA offseason has been a tough one for Boston Celtics superstar forward Jayson Tatum. For the most part, he has been forced to spend his time rehabbing from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

As a result of that serious injury, Tatum is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign. However, he has been attacking his injury rehab over the past few months, and by all accounts, he appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery timeline.

Rehabbing from an injury of this nature can be tedious, so Tatum has been looking for ways to keep himself busy when he isn’t in the gym. Whether he’s been attending one of the New England Patriots’ training camp practices or giving back to the community, Tatum isn’t letting his injury define his offseason.

This weekend, Tatum attended Los Angeles Clippers guard Bradley Beal’s wedding, as the two have been friends from their days growing up together in St. Louis, Missouri. With photos of the event emerging, Tatum was sporting a new hairstyle that quickly caught the attention of fans.

Throughout his NBA career, Tatum has experimented with several different hairstyles. When he entered the league, he sported a simple short buzzcut, but over the past few years, he’s been more inclined to grow his hair out. Now, it looks like he’s trying out some braids after letting his hair grow out again this offseason.

Regardless of what hairstyle he’s sporting, Celtics fans are going to want to see Tatum back on the court sooner rather than later. So while he spent the weekend celebrating the Beals, you can bet that Tatum will be back in the gym attacking his injury rehab come Monday.
