Dolphins Ride Late Heroics: Tua-to-Tyreek Connection Seals Miami’s Electrifying Win
The Miami Dolphins reminded the NFL world of their explosive potential, pulling off a heart-stopping win behind the unstoppable connection of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Down by four with less than two minutes remaining, Miami’s offense needed a miracle. The pressure was mounting, but Tua remained calm in the pocket, scanning the field until he spotted Hill streaking past the defense. Without hesitation, he launched a perfectly placed deep ball.
Hill, living up to his “Cheetah” nickname, sprinted into the open, secured the pass, and dashed untouched into the end zone. Hard Rock Stadium erupted, and the Dolphins reclaimed the lead in dramatic fashion.
“The moment I saw Tyreek break free, I knew it was over. That’s our connection,” Tua said, praising the trust and chemistry that has turned the duo into one of the league’s most feared tandems.
The touchdown capped a brilliant night for both stars, with Tagovailoa throwing for over 300 yards and Hill eclipsing 150 receiving yards. The defense sealed the win with a late stop, ensuring Miami walked away victorious.
Head coach Mike McDaniel highlighted the team’s resilience: “It takes belief and execution in the biggest moments. That’s exactly what Tua and Tyreek gave us tonight.”
For Dolphins fans, it was yet another reminder that this team has the firepower to contend with anyone — and that when the game hangs in the balance, the Tua-to-Tyreek connection is as lethal as it gets.
Raiders Strike Deal With Ex-Commanders & Broncos QB

The Las Vegas Raiders‘ quarterback room has had a shake-up in recent weeks due to Aidan O’Connell fracturing his wrist in the final preseason game. The team traded for Kenny Pickett, but they aren’t done yet.
According to ESPN’s Ryan McFadden, the Raiders have signed veteran quarterback Jeff Driskel to the practice squad. This will be the ninth team that Driskel has played for in his NFL career.
He first came into the league as a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers. He never played a regular season game with the team before landing with the Cincinnati Bengals. He started five games for the Bengals in 2018 and threw six touchdowns to two interceptions.
Following three seasons in Cincinnati, Driskel began to bounce around the NFL. He has started games for the Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns along the way.
Most recently, he spent last season with the Washington Commanders, but he only saw limited action. Starting quarterback Geno Smith is healthy, but Pickett has dealt with injuries this offseason. Perhaps the Raiders are bringing in Driskel just to have a bit of insurance in case Pickett has to miss time. O’Connell isn’t out for the season, so Driskel will likely stick around until he returns from injury.
Cam Miller Staying Put For Now
With Driskel’s addition, it could stand to reason that rookie quarterback Cam Miller would be getting let go. However, that won’t be the case.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Miller isn’t going anywhere right now.
It remains to be seen if the Raiders have any long-term plans for Miller. He wasn’t part of the initial 53-man roster, so the team was OK with him potentially getting poached by another team. For now, he’ll still have a chance to prove he belongs on the team.
Can Geno Smith Be a Top-10 QB?
In a perfect world, the only time a Raiders backup quarterback sees the field is when the team is blowing out their opponent. Smith is entrenched as the starter and isn’t at risk of losing his job anytime soon.
In fact, he might be the best quarterback the Raiders have had in years. He wasn’t always perfect in Seattle, but Las Vegas has an offense tailored to his skill set. Smith isn’t considered one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, but that could change after this season.
The Athletic put together a bold prediction for every team in the league, and Tashan Reed predicted that Smith would be considered a top-10 quarterback after the season.
“Smith hit this level in 2022, but his production took a step down in each of the two last seasons,” Reed wrote. “With Ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers and Amari Cooper in tow, he has plenty of weapons at his disposal on offense. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly seems to have grown since his last stint in the NFL, and the offensive line could be good enough to get by. The Raiders are playing Smith below-average quarterback money, so this coming to fruition would be a big win for them.”
