What Happened To Peter Weber After The Bachelor Season 24?
Posted October 19, 2025
The Bachelor alum Peter Weber, perhaps better known to Bachelor Nation fans as "Pilot Pete," has more than served his time on reality television, and it's time to share some facts about his life. After being introduced to audiences via
The Bachelorette season 15, where he came in third place in the quest for Hannah Brown in 2019, Pete graduated to The Bachelor. He was named the lead for The Bachelor
season 24.
His time on The Bachelor was marked by unforgettable moments, like his mom, Barbara Weber, who had a heavy hand in who her son chose, and the love triangle between Pete and his two runner-ups, Hannah Anne Sluss and Madison Prewett.
Since then, Pete's remained in the public eye. His day job is as a pilot, first for Delta Airlines, and now, for United Airlines. Pete has also continued his reality television career,
appearing on The Traitors season 2 and now, on Destination X, a brand-new NBC reality show that plants 10 strangers in an unknown locale as they're tasked with trying to figure out "
where the X they are," as the show's tagline states. Pete, along with Love Island's JaNa Craig, is competing, as well as Josh Martinez from The Challenge and
Big Brother.
Peter's Journey On The Bachelor
Pete's Mom Became Part Of The Story
Pete was a welcome choice for lead on The Bachelor, since audiences came to really root for him during his
Bachelorette stint with Hannah Brown.
Pete didn't end up getting the girl on that show, so fans were thrilled when he signed on to be The Bachelor.
magazine reported that Hannah B. later revealed in her memoir, God Bless This Mess, that she and Pete reconnected as his season of The Bachelor was airing.
Apparently, Hannah B. and Pete found themselves at the same party in February 2020, as his season was airing. They hooked up, but Hannah B. said there wasn't any chemistry between them.
Hannah B. also made an appearance on his season, as she and Pete worked through some unfinished business. Hannah alleged that Pete wanted her to join the cast and compete for him
, and he said he'd quit the show if she told him she wanted to be with him.
It wasn't meant to be, and Pete put his past with Hannah B. aside as he continued his
Bachelor journey, choosing from 30 women, including Hannah Anne (to whom he gave the show's "first impression rose"), Madison, Kelley Flanagan, Alayah Benavidez, Victoria Paul, Kelsey Weier, Jade Tolbert, Victoria Fuller, and more. Pete whittled down the contestants to the top four: Kelsey, Victoria, Madison, and Hannah Anne. Eventually,
it was down to just Madison and Hannah Anne, and someone very important to Pete helped him make his final choice.
As Pete navigated his season of The Bachelor
, his mom, Barbara, became his trusted advisor. Barbara had strong feelings about which of the two final women he should choose: Madison or Hannah Anne. Barbara was firmly team Hannah Anne
, even crying to Pete that he needed to "bring her home to us" in a highly-memed moment. Pete took his mom's advice and proposed to Hannah Anne, but by the time the finale aired, Pete had dumped Hannah and was pursuing a relationship with Madison again, much to Mama Barb's dismay.
Peter Dated Kelley Flanagan Post-Show
Kelley Was A Contestant On His Season
Things got even messier in Pilot Pete's love life after things with Madison didn't work out either. Who did Pete turn to, after losing Hannah Brown, Hannah Anne, and Madison?
None other than Kelley, another contestant on his season whom he sent home just before the show's hometown visit episodes. It's getting hard to keep track of Pete's love life, but he and Kelley dated
for a few months after the show stopped airing in 2020, then rekindled again in 2022.
By 2023, Kelley and Pete were done again—or were they? In 2025,
US Weekly reported that they were spotted together at Coachella. Pete shared a photo from Coachella to his Instagram, and Kelley is included in a group shot with other reality stars like Rachael Kirkconnell, Kyle Cooke, Joey Graziadei, and Maria Georgas.
Perhaps the two are now on good terms and can spend time together as friends now.
Peter Was On The Traitors
Pete Was A Faithful
Pete's next reality TV stint came as he competed on
The Traitors season 2. The Traitors is the wildly popular and addictive reality show that traps contestants in a Scottish castle with "Traitors" secretly hidden among them the "Faithful." The purpose of the game is to suss out the Traitors while keeping as many Faithfuls around as possible, and in the end, hopefully a faithful ends up winning a cash prize.
Pete played a tough game during his season of The Traitors, becoming one of the season's standout players. Fans were surprised at Pete's game-playing strategy (did they not watch him on
The Bachelor?) and his ability to put himself out there as a target. Pete was a Faithful all along, but he played an impressive, aggressive game. He was ultimately sent home during episode 9, meaning he managed to stay on the show for a lot longer than most.
Pete's fate came down to a choice between himself and Traitor Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame, but he was eliminated after a tie-breaking vote was cast by
Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes "MJ" Javid. As he revealed his status as a Faithful, Pete told the rest of the cast, "I know I've been all gas, no breaks since the beginning. I'm a Faithful 'til the end. I tried to save you guys
."
Peter Is Now Competing In The New Reality Series Destination X
Pete's Pilot Skills Will Be Put To Good Use
NBC
Pilot Pete's next reality adventure will be taking part in
Destination X, a new reality competition show that turns the entire continent of Europe into a gameboard, according to the show's press release. Hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, contestants will need to figure out where they are through "
experiential challenges," relying "on their knowledge of pop culture, history, geography and observational skills to win clues to their current location and earn an all-important advantage." As a major airline pilot, Pete has a distinct advantage. He's an expert in travel and navigation, which will no doubt assist him as he competes.
According to Pete's official Destination X bio, Pete will be able to use his piloting skills to good use.
"With advanced navigational skills and an expertise in reading maps, Peter plans to use his talents to leverage allies and get ahead in the competition."
Pete's time on The Traitors equipped him with game-playing strategies and tactics that will also no doubt further his time on the show. He's an expert at navigating the challenges of finding love and Traitors on television, so audiences will be excited to watch him figure out "where the X he is" on Destination X.
I Didn't Mind The Last Of Us Season 2 Cliffhanger, But One Other Moment Seriously Irked Me
We Can't Get Over 'The Last Of Us' Season 2's Ending, But Mainly Because Of How Unintentionally Funny It Was
Warning! The following contains spoilers for "The Last of Us" Season 2 finale. Stream it with a Max subscription, and read at your own risk! "The Last of Us" Season 2 is over, and boy, did it end on a cliffhanger that gives us a lot to think about before we see what's happening in Season 3. It's a shame we weren't more wrapped up in the moment, as we were, unfortunately, doubled over in stitches laughing at what might be the most unintentionally hilarious moments we've seen in a critically acclaimed show in quite a long time. We're not sure we've laughed at any show on the 2025 TV schedule the same way we laughed at the final moments of "The Last of Us," which is a bummer, because it wasn't supposed to happen like that. Here's what had me wiping happy tears from my eyes at the end, and needing to rewind the episode so that I could get the proper reminder of just how heavy the ending was.
'The Last Of Us' Season 2, Episode 2's Heartbreaking Ending Reminded Me Of A Key 'Walking Dead' Episode (But Not The One You'd Think)
Okay, so it’s been a little bit of time. Can I talk about The Last of Us Season 2finale yet?
It feels like it was just yesterday that we were prepping to sob our hearts out for The Last of Us Season 2. We waited two long years for it to premiere, and finally, when it did, it felt like returning to an old friend–until that friend decided to rip out our hearts and stomp the two pieces into the ground with all that had happened.
From the insane death of Joel in the second episode to expanding on Ellie and Dina’s love story to everything else in between, there was so much that happened this season that it’s almost hard to keep up. And while I don’t necessarily agree with all the changes that the show has made, I’m still a fan – and will be excited for The Last of Us Season 3 regardless.
However, there’s one aspect of the finale that I didn’t like – and it’s probably not what you think. Let’s get into it.
The Fact That The Season Ended With Abby Doesn’t Bother Me
I’ve been seeing a lot of discourse online regarding the cliffhanger of Abby and the appearance of her home base of the WLFs at the end of Season 2. Many have said that it shouldn’t have ended there and instead should have ended on the (unintentionally hilarious) cliffhanger of Ellie possibly getting shot.
I actually could not care less about that, and I’ll tell you why.
As someone who has played the games several times, including both parts and the DLC - just to hurt myself a little more - I don’t mind that the season ended there. In the game, it was honestly just as jarring. Sure, we ended up getting a lot more games immediately after that, and we didn’t have to wait a year for Season 3, but I still think it’s a good way to leave fans hanging.

It begs that question in fans' minds – those who haven’t played the games, the same one that players questioned back in 2020 when Part 2 was released: “Are we going to be following Abby’s story now of those three days? Are we playing as her?”
While we won’t be playing as Abby in Season 3, it’s clear that she will be a bigger part of the story overall, and fans should be prepared.
Sure, ending on the Ellie cliffhanger might have been a fun take, but to be honest, it would have been so average. That’s the kind of cliffhanger that I’m pretty sure we have ended countless times again in so many other TV shows. At least with this take, it’s creative, and it adds a hint of mystery for those who haven’t played the games. I agree with this decision.
However, one thing I dislike is how they portrayed Ellie and Dina in the beginning.
But I Hate That They Made Ellie Talk With Dina After She Killed Nora
One thing I did like about Season 2 is how they divided the episodes into Ellie’s story. I think there certainly could have been WAY more, but putting the breather between Episodes 5 and 7, where we fully get the background information regarding Joel and Ellie, helped us settle into the chaos that ensues in the finale.
But it’s how Ellie arrives back with Dina that annoys and bothers me. I’ve been pretty lenient with the show’s changes over Season 2. I feel that it has taken a lot more liberties than Season 1, which is fine. It’s still, relatively, the same story that breaks hearts over and over again.
However, the decision to have Ellie speak to Dina leaves a foul taste in my mouth. In the games, if you’ve never played, Ellie certainly does beat the snot out of Nora and kills her. But when she arrives back at the theater, she doesn’t speak.
Instead, she sits down in front of Dina, and her girlfriend wordlessly starts to remove Ellie’s clothes to examine her wounds and bruises, her touch gentle and caring – the complete opposite of what Ellie has just done. As Dina takes care of her, all we see is Ellie’s face, how it contorts in silent grief over what she has done, a subtle numbness that morphs into the realization of the horrors she has just committed, but knows nonetheless that she can’t undo.
And will only continue to do more.
All of that is said without words, and yet, somehow, it conveys so many more emotions than what we received in the television show. I don’t want to knock out Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced’s acting performances because I still think they are standouts in The Last of Us cast. However, I think the script they were given was clunky at best and disrespectful at worst to the source material.
Having Ellie comment that she thought it would be harder to kill Nora takes away a lot of the subtlety from the characters in the games, and it doesn’t help that it feels as if she doesn’t feel bad whatsoever. I’m not trying to humanize her, but there was just something in the games that added a lot more to this moment, something that didn’t require words.
It Also Worries Me That Ellie Essentially Told Dina What Joel Did In The Hospital
Something else that I wanted to bring up, as a fan of the games, is that Ellie doesn’t tell anyone about what Joel did in that hospital. Not even Dina – as far as we know. It’s never shown in the games. However, she fully reveals it all to Dina at that moment.
It’s that instance that nearly makes them go home, but it also makes me wonder what that means for the future. If Ellie tells more people about what happened now, could that potentially ruin Joel’s memory of Jackson? Could Ellie get in trouble? I don’t know.
It just feels like this moment was ruined by talking, and that’s something I really wish didn’t happen.
I Wish They Kept More Of The Subtlety From The Games
The Last of Us is still a fun TV show. It’s still an HBO series that has got the world talking and remains very popular. But Season 2 really did take away a lot of the subtlety from the games that I wish was still there.
I’m not saying that Season 3 has to be exactly like the games, and I doubt it’s going to go in that direction. But not everything needs to be spoken out. Not everyone needs to have a dramatic emotional moment. There are a few changes to that which I like, such as Joel and that porch scene in Episode 6, which really added more to the character.
But when it comes to situations like this, where words instead harm the character’s arc, that’s where I draw the line. Showing is always better than telling, and for this script, someone needed to do a second pass.
While it’ll undoubtedly be some time before we see The Last of Us Season 3, at least I have these two seasons to rewatch. Or maybe it’s time for another replay of the games. Where is my PlayStation controller?
