Tyreek Hill Rumors Point to Miami Dolphins Departure
A few weeks ago, speculation was running rampant on whether the Miami Dolphins would trade Tyreek Hill, complete with possible destinations. That ‘dream’ is now dead after Hill suffered a torn ACL in Miami’s Week 4 win. Hill is now out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, and there are serious doubts about whether he’ll ever play another snap in a Dolphins uniform again.

Hill is under contract through the 2026 season, but he has a far too expensive cap hit of $51.8 million next season. That’s a lot of money for a 32-year-old coming off season-ending knee surgery.
However, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, league sources “expect” Hill to be released by the Dolphins far before the 2026 season kicks off.
“The five-time first-team All Pro was in the second year of a three-year contract extension with Miami, and league sources expect the Dolphins to release Hill before the start of the next league year in March 2026.”

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, indicated that the talented speedster would like to return to Miami next season. He also indicated that Hill should be ready in time for Week 1 of next season, allowing the All-Pro to give his team a full workload.
Yet, he also admitted that both sides will likely have to return to the negotiation table to continue their four-year relationship. As we’ve seen many times before, any time money gets involved, there’s always the possibility of ending up in a new city, and that could be the case with Hill too.
If the Dolphins can’t return to contention after what’s been a tough start so far, we don’t imagine Hill will be itching to get back on the field with his former teammates. He may very well eye a more competitive situation, just as he may have been seeking this past offseason with his trade request. Though, after suffering a major knee injury, the interest in Hill won’t be nearly as high as it likely would have been last offseason.
Dodgers’ Dave Roberts stuns fans by dismissing Roki Sasaki’s impact amid closer debate!

Dodgers’ Dave Roberts Questions Roki Sasaki’s Closer Potential
In a surprising turn of events, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has stirred the pot by dismissing the potential impact of Japanese sensation Roki Sasaki in the ongoing debate over the team’s closer role. This statement has left many fans and analysts scratching their heads, especially given Sasaki’s impressive track record.
Sasaki’s Rising Star
Roki Sasaki has taken the baseball world by storm with his exceptional performances in Japan. Known for his blazing fastball and sharp slider, Sasaki has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting young pitchers today. With a dominant presence on the mound, he has continually drawn comparisons to some of the game’s greats.
Despite this, Roberts appears unfazed by Sasaki’s accolades. The manager emphasized that while Sasaki is undoubtedly talented, the Dodgers have established depth within their bullpen that may not necessitate the integration of the young pitcher into the closer role.

Roberts’ Perspective on the Bullpen
Roberts has expressed confidence in the current closer options available to him, suggesting that the team’s existing pitchers possess the qualities needed to secure games in high-pressure situations. This assertion raises questions about the Dodgers’ strategy moving forward, particularly as they approach the postseason.
The manager’s comments have sparked debate among fans, many of whom see Sasaki as a potential game-changer for the Dodgers’ postseason run. With the pressure of the playoffs looming, the choice of who takes the mound in crucial moments is critical.
What Lies Ahead for the Dodgers
As the Dodgers gear up for the playoffs, the closer situation remains a focal point of discussion. While Roberts may downplay Sasaki’s impact, the young pitcher’s impressive skill set cannot be ignored.
It will be interesting to see how this debate unfolds as the team prepares for the challenges ahead. The Dodgers have a history of making bold moves, and the decision on their closer could very well shape their postseason fate. With the clock ticking, fans will be eager to see who ultimately takes the mound in those pivotal moments.
