Tribute to Josh Allen’s Wife Hailee During Chiefs Game Is Turning Heads
Posted November 3, 2025
Before facing the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott admits it feels almost like a division game.
McDermott told reporters, “We’ve gone up against each other a number of times now and there’s been great battles and I think that’s one of the reasons you do this is the competition.
“You look forward to the competition, and no different this week. We know what’s in front of us. We know the challenge that’s in front of us.”
Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Co. look to nab their sixth win of the season when they host the Chiefs in Week 9. Cheering Allen on against Kansas City, his wife, Hailee Steinfeld.
While Steinfeld always keeps a low profile at games, her brother, Griffin Steinfeld, proudly posted a photo from Highmark Stadium before kickoff on his Instagram Stories.
Fans also kept an eye out for Taylor Swift, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s fiancée. Steinfeld and Swift have known each other for years. The Oscar-nominated actress appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video in 2014.
“The Life of Showgirl” singer attended the AFC divisional playoff game in Buffalo in January 2024, however, she didn’t exactly have the best time. Therefore, it wasn’t a huge surprise that she didn’t appear to attend the matchup.
While the national broadcast tends to give Steinfeld her space and privacy during Bills games, CBS made a nod to the “Sinners” star that immediately caught fans’ attention on Sunday.
CBS Played Hailee Steinfeld’s Song ‘Love Myself’ After Josh Allen’s Second Rushing TD
Allen made NFL history against the Chiefs on Sunday. After scoring his first rushing touchdown of the game, he surpassed Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns (77) by a quarterback (including playoffs). Allen also became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for at least six touchdowns in each of his first eight seasons.
Following his second rushing score of the matchup, the CBS national broadcast played his wife’s hit song from 2015, “Love Myself.” Fans loved the tribute. ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg posted, “Shouts to CBS for playing ‘Love Myself’ going to break after that TD. Great work.”
One man wrote, “Major props to the CBS producer who decided to play ‘Love Myself’ by Hailee Steinfeld after the Josh Allen rushing touchdown!”
One woman wrote, “Not CBS playing Love Myself after Josh’s Rush TD 🤣🤣.” A fan added, “I’m sorry but kinda loved them putting love myself from Hailee Steinfeld after Josh Allen’s touchdown 🫣.”
Josh Allen Calls Wife, Hailee Steinfeld, ‘The Most Fulfilling Thing In His Life’
While Allen is the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player and signed a new six-year, $330 million contract with a record-breaking $250 million guaranteed before the season started, all these accomplishments pale in comparison to marrying Steinfeld.
When asked what the most fulfilling part of his life is right now, “My wife,” Allen said. “My wife is an unbelievable and undeniable rockstar in her work. In her life as a person — she’s everything I need in my life.”
The love and admiration are reciprocated. In an interview earlier this month, Steinfeld spoke about how her life changed after marrying the 29-year-old quarterback. “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule,” Steinfeld told Variety.
“So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.
“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
Sean Payton Sends Message on Young Playmaker as Broncos Finalize Roster
The Denver Broncos finalized their 53-man roster, and indeed, 2024 fifth-round draft pick Audric Estime was among those who were let go. However, Broncos head coach Sean Payton offered a vote of confidence for Estime as he (potentially) moves on in his NFL journey.
The Broncos selected Estime with the No. 147 overall pick of the draft.
He finished second among the team’s returning backs in carries and yards last season, but the Broncos kept four backs this year, and Estime was not among them.
“Sometimes it’s a combination of things,” Payton told reporters on August 26 when asked what led to Estime’s release. “I had a long visit with him today, and his career is not by any chance over. And so, that’s really not uncommon for a fifth-round selection.”
Broncos second-year RB Audric Estime talks about how he studied film in the offseason, asked coaches for their advice in the offseason and "took what everyone told me and went to work." … "I'm playing faster, I know the plays & I just know where I need to be at," he says. pic.twitter.com/YQIcpqaU7c

Estime rushed for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns on 76 carries in 2024.
The Broncos’ decision to cut Estime one year after using a draft pick to bring him in may not be “uncommon,” but 9News’ Mike Klis termed it “unusual.”

The Broncos kept newcomers J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Payton and the Broncos also parted with Estime in favor of incumbents Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie.
For Badie, in particular, the moment was significant.
“The #Broncos’ initial 53-man RBs at practice today. Jaleel McLaughlin, RJ Harvey, Tyler Badie, J.K. Dobbins,” The Denver Post’s Luca Evans posted on X on August 26. “First season-opening 53-man Badie has made since he was a 2022 sixth-rnd pick by Baltimore. Very cool moment for him after season-ending injury last yr.”

Badie showed his explosiveness for the Broncos last season, rushing for 86 yards on 11 attempts. But a back injury interrupted his emergence, and he landed on injured reserve until the Broncos’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.
Payton called the decision in the Broncos’ backfield “difficult,” noting that they cannot control the next two days as players go through the waiver process.
Payton and the Broncos are towards the back of the waiver order (20th), per Yahoo Sports.
Broncos Lose Super Bowl Champion in Backfield
GettyMichael Burton #20 of the Denver Broncos warms up before facing the Cincinnati Bengals.
While Estime could return as a member of the Broncos’ practice squad, Payton announced that Broncos fullback and 2022 Super Bowl champion Michael Burton is out for the season. Burton was entering his third season with the Broncos and 11th in the league.
“He had surgery on his hamstring, and that would be it right now,” Payton said. “He was put on IR … Not [designated to] return.”
The Broncos also waived veteran fullback Adam Prentice after recently bringing him in.
Payton and Prentice have a relationship that goes back to the New Orleans Saints, but the Broncos also have the versatile Nate Adkins on hand. He can play fullback as well as his natural tight end. That is, if the Broncos refrain from bringing Prentice back in some capacity.
Teams must wait until noon ET to sign players to the practice squad, so the Broncos will have to keep their fingers crossed on players, potentially like Estime and Prentice, until then.
