Three Rams Named To PFF’s Team Of The Week
The Los Angeles Rams began the 2025 NFL season with a win, after beating the Houston Texans, 14-9.
A strong defensive performance by the Rams propelled the team to win in the season opener.
With questions surrounding the quarterback situation, the Rams were able to pull off their first win of head coach Sean McVay’s ninth season with the team.
With Week 1 in the books, Pro Football Focus released its first team of the week of the 2025-26 season, which features three Rams players.

All eyes were on quarterback Matthew Stafford for the Los Angeles Rams in the season opener.
Stafford was suffering from a back injury and was forced to miss most of training camp before returning for the final few weeks before Week 1.
The quarterback proved in the game that he was 100%, helping the Rams to victory, throwing for 245 yards and a touchdown.
Alongside being named to PFF’s team of the week, he was also named to the publication’s offensive player of the week, with a 92.9 overall grade.
In the game, Stafford became the 10th quarterback in NFL history to break 60k passing yards.
Puka Nacua

Puka Nacua had what can be considered his most memorable performance as a professional.
The wide receiver suffered a hit to the head, causing a cut, and missed part of the first half before returning with stitches to complete the game.
Despite suffering a cut, Nacua returned to the game and was able to finish with 130 yards on 10 receptions.
“[I Tried] to play football normally, there was some padding that was covering the eye a little bit,” Nacua said when playing with stitches. “But then it was like, ‘I’m going out here, hopefully these stitches are doing their job because I’m not hesitating to hit somebody else.'”
“My excitement to go out there and hit somebody and be able to play with the physicality that I enjoy the game of football with is something that drives me to get back out there.”
Nate Landman

Linerback Nate Landman made the game-saving play that sealed the win for the Rams to kick off the 2025 NFL season.
The Houston Texans were in Rams territory, pushing down the field with less than two minutes left to go in the game, when Landman successfully punched the ball out of the Texans’ running back Dare Ogunbawale hands, which helped seal the win for the team.
The Texans still had three timeouts left late in the game, but the Rams were able to gain a first down and run out the clock.
Landman finished the game with 10 total tackles and a QB hit. The linebacker, who signed a veteran minimum contract, was named a captain this season and appears to be a free agency steal.
LA Knight Calls Out Lakers’ LeBron & Bronny James on WWE Raw

The WWE Universe was abuzz after WWE Superstar LA Knight stole the spotlight once more during the opening segment of Monday Night Raw on Netflix with a shocking challenge. Following a fierce fight between The Usos, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breaker from The Vision,
Knight grabbed the microphone and declared his desire to fight anyone named ‘Bron’ – and even mentioned NBA legend LeBron James and his son Bronny James as possible opponents.
The Usos Make It Official for WrestlePalooza
The Usos entered the ring, emphasizing their unfinished business with Reed and Breakker. Jimmy and Jey Uso announced that WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had approved a significant tag team match, despite tensions already escalating.
The Usos and The Vision are set to battle at WrestlePalooza on September 20th in Indianapolis. Fans were reminded by the brothers that their cousin Roman Reigns was injured by The Vision, which added another layer of personal animosity to their already volatile rivalry. During the exchange of verbal jabs, Reed resisted the fiery Breakker to prevent an early fight.
LA Knight Crashes the Party
The LA Knight joined the chaos in the ring before the dust had settled. Knight’s brash attitude and quick wit led him to go after both members of The Vision without delay. By landing heavy shots on Reed and Breakker, he temporarily changed his direction.
Breakker and Reed overwhelmed him, causing him to lose the numbers. Despite the prospect of Knight being laid out, The Usos jumped back in with stereo Suicide Dives that energized the crowd. Fans were hyped for what’s to come as The Usos and LA Knight stood strong at the end of the melee.
LA Knight’s Explosive Promo
After the fight, Knight was given an interview backstage, where he spoke his most memorable lines of the evening. Knight was clearly energized and turned down talk of The Usos versus The Vision, concentrating on what he desired next.
“Jey Uso thinks I needed to throw Bronson Reed into him on purpose? Nah. If I wanted to take you out, I’d do it right to your damn face,” Knight declared. “What I want is one of the Brons. I told Adam Pearce — give me Bronson Reed, give me Bron Breakker. Hell, give me LeBron James, give me little Bronny James, give me Charles Bronson if he was still around. If his name is Bron, I want him in the ring!”
The fiery promo that quickly made the rounds on the internet, featuring Knight’s reference to NBA superstar LeBron James and his son Bronny, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, captivated fans. Both wrestling and basketball fans had a lot of fun with Knight’s charisma and outlandish challengers, even though a crossover clash between basketball royalty and the WWE is not very likely.
WrestlePalooza on the Horizon
The September 20th WrestlePalooza event in Indianapolis is being billed as one of the most action-packed nights of the year by WWE. The confirmed match between The Usos and The Vision will end months of hostility, while LA Knight’s future remains unclear.
Regardless of whether he obtains one of the ‘Brons’ he requested or is further entangled in the feud with Reed and Breakker, LA Knight is still one of the most entertaining wild cards in WWE, and that’s a certainty. LA Knight’s mix of sharp promos, crowd support, and unpredictable antics once again demonstrated why he’s a must-see performer on Raw. His words indicate that he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
