It’s Time For the Women To Tell All
ABC
It’s “The Women Tell All” special as Mel Owens reunites with the 15 women he sent home this season. Host Jesse Palmer kicks things off with introducing the ladies who have been a part of Owens’ journey, including Debbie Siebers, who placed third.
As the episode highlights all of the fun moments between the ladies and Owens, it also showed the moments when Nicolle Briscoe was questioned by the rest of the contestants for her authenticity. She was quickly dubbed the villain by fans for sharing that she had hopes of becoming an influencer after being on the show.
Nicolle is put on the hot seat by Palmer. She shares that she believed she was true to who she was and was there to find love, even calling herself a “trailblazer.”
“I set the bar for competition, and they just had to step it up. I also want to say that I want to empower women in their 60s and 60s and 70s. Whether your age starts with a 6, 7, 8, 9 … whatever,” Nicolle shared.
However, Debbie interjects, “I want to address the empowering women thing because you did not empower us. You dismissed us.”
Debbie doesn’t hold back, adding, “You dismissed so many women. When I saw that you were really on here to be an influencer … the bottom line is this: If you want to be an influencer, you’re not going to be if nobody likes you.”
Although the ladies had different opinions on Nicolle, they all agreed that the experience brought them lasting friendships.
Cheryl Reflects on Her Journey
ABC
Palmer gets Cheryl Steele in the hot seat. As fans recall, she won Owens’ heart with her limo entrance when she rode in on her dirtbike. She also received the first one-on-one date of the season. However, he sadly sent her home in week 5, which surprised a lot of viewers.
Cheryl is forced to rewatch her time on the show, and it’s really heartbreaking. “I was very hopeful. I had confidence that this might be my man,” she admitted.
Palmer surprises Cheryl with her son and her grandkids in the audience. It’s an incredibly touching moment, and they express how proud they are of her.
Can we make Cheryl the next “Golden Bachelorette?”
Debbie Gets Closure With Owens
ABC
Debbie sits down with Palmer to revisit her journey, watching back the moments that defined her time on the show. Debbie made it all the way to hometowns’ week before Owens unfortuantely sent her home.
Debbie tears up watching her journey. “You know, it’s just been such a roller coaster ride. I allowed myself to feel hopeful again,” she tells Palmer. She admits she wishes she “could have had more time” with Owens. Debbie also reflects on the People Magazine shoot, where she wore a wedding dress. Debbie has never been married and never wore a wedding dress, so it was truly a very meaningful moment for her.
Owens joins Palmer on stage and faces the 15 women he let go. When its the women’s turn to speak to him, they share that they have nothing but love for him and appreciate how much he respected each and every one of them. Speaking to Cheryl, he tells her he’ll never forget her and her personal journey.
Nicolle then tearfully shares she had “genuine” feelings for Owens.
Debbie asks Owens whether her not having children or never being married influenced his decision not to choose her in the finale. It’s a question that has clearly been weighing heavy on her, but she finally gets the closure she was looking for. He tells her “no,” adding, “It never crossed my mind, ever.”
Overall, the “Women Tell All” has been surprisingly positive, with little drama and plenty of genuine moments. It’s clear the contestants trule believe Owens’ sincerity.
A Sneak Peek of the Finale
The episode ends with a sneak peek of the finale. Owens and his final two women are in Antigua, and he’s seen speaking to his sons and Palmer about making the biggest decision of his life.
But, before the season ends, there is still Fantasy Suite week, which can change everything. Owens is then see holding an engagement ring on the beach, and fans hope that he will get down on one knee and propose.
