EXCLUSIVE: Randi Rahm Reveals the Inspiration Behind Peg’s Finale Dress and If Taylor Frankie Paul Will Be Wearing Her Gowns

Gorgeous gowns!
Bachelor Nation fans saw Peg Munson and Mel Owens find love on the Season 2 finale of “The Golden Bachelor."
Peg looked stunning in her orange and turquoise strapless gown as Mel declared his love with a commitment ring in Antigua.
We got a chance to sit down with haute couture designer Randi Rahm for an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com, where she revealed the inspiration behind Peg’s finale dress.
She also teased whether we can expect to see more of her stunning gowns during Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
Check out our full interview with Randi below!
Bachelor Nation: Hi Randi, it’s so good to see you again! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. We loved Peg’s finale dress and the beautiful pops of color. Can you tell us the inspiration behind the design of the dress?
Randi Rahm: Hi, it’s so good to see you! Absolutely. I wanted to make an architectural kind of feel with a little feminine pop! So I think the color made it sort of feminine, not as rigid as something that’s very architectural. I think the color softened the lines so it made it more fun to wear.

BN: We love it, and it looked so stunning on her. How did you incorporate Peg’s personality into the dress?
RR: With the help of Carey Fetman, who’s the stylist. He’ll talk to me about who she is and I’ll show him a lot of dresses, and I can’t guarantee she picks any of them. But by the description of her personality and the beautiful lady that she is, I just thought that would be a standout, strong and pretty dress. Just like she is! She’s strong and pretty. I like the ladies to have that little pizzazz. Elegance along with the pizzazz. And this is a dress that stands out on its own just by its shape and the color combinations. I think Carey is brilliant at his job and between the collaboration there and the description of that beautiful woman, it’s a win-win situation. And then she has to like it! There are other dresses she could’ve picked from, it’s not just my dresses. So I was very pleased when she picked that one. I thought it was perfect.
BN: It really was. Do you know if it was love at first sight, or were there other dresses from your collection that she was also considering?

Disney/John Fleenor
RR:
BN: Absolutely, and they really are all different; no two looks have been alike! Speaking of Bachelorettes, can we get a tease if we can expect to see Taylor Frankie Paul wearing any of your gowns?
