Raiders Receive Honest Take on Geno Smith, Kenny Pickett Situation
After the Las Vegas Raiders fell in Week 5 to the Indianapolis Colts, the calls for Kenny Pickett to take over under center grew louder. It was a disastrous performance from the offense as they could only muster six points in the 40-6 defeat.
Moreover, the turnovers for Geno Smith continued. Smith completed 25 of 36 pass attempts for 228 yards, but the veteran quarterback turned the ball over yet again with two interceptions.
Ahead of the Week 6 game against the Tennessee Titans, former NFL running back Rashad Jennings weighed in on whether it’s time to make a change at quarterback.
“I mean, obviously they did bring over Kenny Pickett just to be a backup,”
“Yes, of course, when your record is what it is and your quarterback hasn’t played extremely well—and he’s leading to the NFL and interceptions—sometimes you wonder. But I have no doubt
Time to See What Kenny Pickett Can Do for the Raiders
After the Week 6 loss to the Colts, former Raiders wide receiver James Jones isn’t calling Pickett the starter. Still, he criticized head coach Pete Carroll for not putting Pickett in once the game got out of hand to see what he could do.
“When you’re losing the way we have lost a couple of games this season, [you] put Kenny Pickett in there and see what he can do,” Jones said on “Raiders Postgame Live.”
“So now you’re losing a game and he’s struggling, and [you’re] putting him in a pass situation only for him to make another mistake. That’s not going to help his confidence. Put
Raiders Appear Not to Be Giving Up on Geno Smith
Smith was signed to provide veteran leadership for a young Raiders offense. Surprisingly, some of the errors you’d normally expect from first-, second-, or third-year players are coming from the 34-year-old quarterback. Still, Carroll clarified why Pickett wasn’t brought in once the game against the Colts was out of reach.
“Here’s the reason why I didn’t do that: We need to stay out there and keep practicing,“ Carroll said postgame when asked if there was a thought to bench Smith for Pickett. “We need to keep practicing, we need the reps, we need the turns, we need to run the system, we need to feel it, we need to see the guys get the opportunities to improve.
“I thought about it because there was a chance to do that. … That’s not what’s necessary. We need to get better and get right, so these are the games that we’re working on, and these are the games that we learn from and grow from so that we can change the course of the way games are going.”
Rams Slated for Fantasy Boom in Week 6 vs. Ravens

The Los Angeles Rams have consistently produced high-level fantasy football performances throughout the 2025 NFL season. Puka Nacua was expected to have a huge year, but he's surpassing even the most bullish predictions in the first five weeks. In the first third of the campaign, he's leading the league in catches with 52, receiving yards with 588, first downs with 58, and yards per game with 117.6.

He's not the only member of the Rams offense having a great season. Davante Adams hasn't lost a step, despite dropping into a clear WR2 role for the first time. Yet, he's on pace for 1200+ receiving yards, his most since 2022, and 17 touchdowns, which would be the second-highest mark of his entire career.
Kyren Williams started slowly, but he should continue to reassert himself as another top-tier fantasy running back, averaging over 20 full-PPR points over his last three games. Matthew Stafford has steadily climbed the quarterback leaderboards and could very well finish as a top-12 scorer at his position by season's end. The Rams have a prime opportunity to continue their dominant fantasy year in Week 6, with a matchup with the

Almost all Rams should start against the Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have limped to a 1-4 record in the 2025 NFL season due to a flurry of injuries. Last week, they were without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was sidelined with a hamstring issue, among a host of other absences. That led to them getting blown out by the Houston Texans, 40-6.
Jackson could be back against the Los Angeles Rams, but his presence won't impede any of LA's fantasy prospects, aside from the D/ST's, of course. If anything, having him back on the opposite sidelines would only increase the likelihood that this game turns into a high-octane shootout.

Lamar Jackson’s status for Sunday vs. the Rams is “very much in doubt” per @RapSheet pic.twitter.com/h4YdkUqNJi
However, several Ravens defenders are also questionable for Week 6, including Roquan Smith, Marlon Humphrey, and Chidobe Awuzie. Even close to full strength, Baltimore's D hasn't been very effective this year. Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams all have a great chance to produce at a strong level in this matchup.
"Last week, I doubted Stafford because he had historically struggled against the 49ers. Swing and a miss! Stafford balled out again, having now thrown for 375-plus yards and three touchdowns in each of his last two games. This Sunday, he draws the banged-up Ravens defense, which has allowed the second-most yards and the most touchdown passes in the league. Baltimore has yielded the second-most fantasy PPG to QBs, while generating pressure at the eighth-lowest rate. Ride the hot hand this week."
