Rachel Recchia Discusses Dating and Reveals If She’ll Ever Go Back on Reality TV
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation fans have gotten to know and love Rachel Recchia on “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette,” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Rachel recently gave love another shot on Season 3 of Netflix’s “Perfect Match,” where she coupled up with someone, but they ultimately didn’t work out.
Since her time on the shows, Rachel has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media.
Now, she is opening up about her dating life on the “Trading Secrets” podcast with Jason Tartick and revealing whether she’ll ever go back on reality TV.

She shared, “I’ll always take the call and see, but I don’t know. It’s really hard for me because I feel like I have such a different personality than what reality TV is… I’m perfect for ‘Bachelor’ and that side of things. But it would have to be very different and unique for me to want to do it. I don’t know.”
Rachel continued and revealed that she’s unsure if this is the end of reality TV for her.
She said, “I mean, I never want to say the end because I said the end after ‘Paradise.’ I mean who knows, really, what’s gonna come up? But I don’t see another, something like ‘Perfect Match’ or anything like that again. Who knows… If it makes sense with my job [in aviation], because I really do need to start focusing on that more. So, we’ll see.”

The Bachelor Nation star then got candid about her dating life and discussed the difficulties she has faced.
“The more you do this sort of a thing like TV, it feels like the smaller your dating pool gets,” Rachel admitted. “I’ve tried to date people outside of this space and sometimes people are too private, they don’t want it, they can’t understand, and it can be a lot. So I feel like you’re kind of in this position where now like, ‘Who can I date that will kind of get what I’ve been through and kind of get me?’ It’s been really hard, honestly.”
We always love hearing from Rachel and we’re sending her our love. We know she’ll find her person!
The Last of Us Season 3 Story Change Confirmed By Star

Speaking with Variety, Catherine O'Hara, who plays Gail, discussed whether she'd be coming back to the show, confirming that The Last of Us season 3 will be "the Abby story" in the process. This aligns with the story in The Last of Us Part II, which switches perspectives halfway through the game to reveal more about Abby's perspective on the larger plot at play. Check out what O'Hara had to say about this change to the series below:
I don’t know. Craig did say definitely not this next season. It’s the Abby story. Maybe. But I think it was to serve Joel and Ellie.
What Abby's Story Means For The Last Of Us Season 3
The TV Series Is Following The Source Material
O'Hara's confirmation that The Last of Us season 3 will be focusing on Abby isn't surprising, as this is the same structure The Last of Us Part II also follows. Once Ellie's story reaches a certain point in the game, the perspective switches over to the game's antagonist, showing her side of the story after having killed Joel.
That point of perspectives getting switched is approaching, with the upcoming season 2 finale likely adapting through that part of the game's storyline. Whether that will be clarified in season 2, episode 7, though, remains to be seen. This decision was a polarizing one when the source material first came out, with The Last of Us Part II becoming controversial for giving Joel's killer her own story.
It's also a big risk for the TV show, since, whenever the series comes back, showing events from Abby's perspective means sidelining Ellie for a whole season. Having a full season of the show without one of its main characters will be a unique storytelling move, though heightened by the promise that both seasons will tie together by the end.
Our Take On The Last Of Us Season 3 Switching To Abby's Perspective
Will It Work For The TV Series?
Although the decision to switch perspectives is accurate to the video game's presentation, it's a tossup whether it will work in the franchise's TV adaptation. The change in viewpoints will be risky for those attached to Ellie, especially when a potentially lengthy wait time for season 3 doesn't yield an update on the main character's story. Even so, The Last of Us is forging ahead with adapting the game with accuracy to its presentation, no matter what the reaction to this decision ends up being.
