Packers Shake Up Running Back Situation Amid Josh Jacobs Injury Concerns
The NFL world knows Josh Jacobs for his unwavering strength and resilience, and once again, the Las Vegas Raiders running back is showing his true colors in the face of adversity. With injury concerns surrounding his availability for upcoming games, Jacobs has made a bold promise: “I’ve been through tough situations before, and I’m not worried about this one. I’m doing everything I can to be ready. When I step back on that field, I’ll be at 100%.”
For Jacobs, injuries are nothing new. Throughout his career, the 25-year-old has faced the kind of challenges that could break a lesser player, yet he continues to rise above them with an impressive blend of focus and tenacity. Whether it was his standout 2022 season where he led the NFL in rushing yards or his crucial role in turning around the Raiders’ offense last year, Jacobs has shown time and time again that he is not just a running back — he’s a key pillar of the team’s success.
However, this time, it’s different. Jacobs’ injury has raised some concerns among fans and analysts alike, particularly as the Raiders face tough competition in their upcoming games. His powerful runs and fearless play have been at the heart of their offense, and any potential absence would certainly be felt on the field. But Jacobs, true to form, refuses to let this setback define him.
“I’ve been through tough situations before, and I’m not worried about this one,” Jacobs said with a determined look. “I’ve worked hard to get to this point, and I’m doing everything I can to be ready. When I step back on that field, I’ll be at 100%.”
This determination is exactly what the Raiders need as they enter a crucial stretch of their season. Jacobs is widely regarded as one of the league’s most explosive and consistent running backs, and his leadership in the locker room is just as valuable as his production on the field. His ability to push through adversity has been the driving force behind his success, and it seems that nothing — not even injury — will slow him down.
For Jacobs, it’s not just about being physically ready; it’s about mental toughness. "It's always a battle between what you feel and what your mind tells you," Jacobs admitted. "I’ve learned how to overcome the mental side of injuries. The most important thing is knowing how to deal with the setbacks and staying focused on the end goal."
As the Raiders look to secure a spot in the playoffs and make a push for the postseason, Jacobs' commitment to his recovery and his resilience is exactly what the team needs. His confidence in his ability to return stronger than ever is a rallying cry for the Raiders and their fanbase.
With Jacobs leading the charge, the Raiders are sure to feel his presence — both on and off the field. And while there may be obstacles along the way, one thing is clear: when Josh Jacobs says he’ll be at 100%, you can bet that he will. The Raiders can only hope they’ll have their star back, ready to carry them toward greatness.
In the NFL, injuries can be a major setback, but for Josh Jacobs, they’re just another hurdle to jump — and if his past performances are any indication, he’s more than capable of clearing it.
Bears’ Key Defensive Starter is Expected to Play vs. Saints: Report

With some last-minute news before the game against the New Orleans Saints, NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced that Chicago Bears’ defensive tackle Grady Jarrett is expected to play.
Jarrett, 32, missed the team’s last two contests against the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders due to a knee injury.
Grady Jarrett Expected to Suit Up for Bears vs. Saints

The Bears signed Jarrett this offseason to a three-year, $43.5 million contract to become a key part of the defense. However, in the three games the former Atlanta Falcon has appeared in, he’s been unimpressive.
Jarrett had just four total tackles with an overall grade of 55.7 by Pro Football Focus, which ranks 117th out of 192 qualified defensive linemen.
More than being a captain on the defense, Jarrett has to step up for the Bears’ defense, and he knows not to let this opportunity slip pass him.
“Being a part of something that is going to start here special,” Jarrett said when he signed with the Bears. “Me being somebody who wants to be in a position to compete for championships, encourage younger guys around me, and really share my experience and my hunger for greatness to others who want to achieve it. I’m in a special place in a special time, in a special moment where I’m supposed to be.”
It’s great to have Jarrett back on the field, but more than anything, he needs to deliver on his promise to put the Bears in a position to compete for a championship.
Other Injury News for the Bears

Along with Jarrett, running back D’Andre Swift is also expected to play, according to Rapoport.
Swift, who appeared on the injury report Thursday with a groin injury, should not affect him in the game against the Saints, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

More injury news is that wide receiver DJ Moore, who was taken in an ambulance and stayed overnight at a hospital due to a groin injury in the game against the Commanders, is expected to play.
Those not suiting up are kicker Cairo Santos (right thigh), linebacker Noah Sewell (concussion), and defensive end Austin Booker, who many expected was going to be elevated off injured reserve (IR) after the news that the Bears released pass rusher Kanoh Kpassagnon.
With the Bears’ lack of getting to the quarterback this season (eight sacks through five games), the hope was that Booker would be back on the field vs. the Saints, but it looks like the team will have to wait another week. Instead, the Bears elevated running back Travis Homer, who was also on IR.
