Norman Reedus discusses filming, working with Stephen Merchant in Daryl Dixon season 3 (Exclusive)
After what feels like a very long wait for UK-based fans of The Walking Dead Universe, the time has finally come for us to stream the new season of

On October 24, Daryl Dixon season 3 will air exclusively in the UK on Sky Max and will also be available on the streaming service NOW TV. The season promises to deliver more drama as Daryl and Carol try to navigate their way back home and their encounters with survivors who could be friends or foes. Season three also brings some new cast members to the franchise, including: Stephen Merchant, Greta Fernández, Candela Saitta, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, Hada Nieto, and Gonzalo Bouza.
There is so much to look forward to in this next chapter, which consists of seven episodes, and I am so excited for fans to see the twists and turns in store. Ahead of the new episodes, I had the absolute pleasure of joining a round table with Norman Reedus during his time at the Global Press Day in Madrid. I finally got to ask him a question I have hoped to know the answer to for years!
Exclusive Interview: Norman Reedus talks Daryl Dixon season 3
Norman Reedus was delighted to join myself, as well as a handful of other journalists, for questions about the upcoming series. His enthusiastic persona filled the space with excitement, and he appeared to be really enjoying his day at the event and meeting everyone, and I couldn't wait to use my time to ask him about

As a long-term fan of the franchise right since the beginning, I, along with many others in the UK, was obviously thrilled to hear that
Reedus: Yeah, I think Daryl's idea of home is morphing, especially in seasons 3 and 4. It is a lot in season 4, especially what we're filming now.
But yeah, it was fun to go through London. You know, it's funny because we take a whole section of Madrid, and coincidentally the most populated area of Madrid, I think, on a Saturday, which was full of people, but we destroy it, and then we make it look like London, and then we destroy it again.
It was a lot, it was a lot of work. Our set designer is one of the best I've ever worked with on this show. She's amazing. But it was cool.
And to work with Stephen. Stephen, you know, I think everyone expected Stephen to come in and be jokey and funny, and he was, but he's a really good serious actor. Like, there's a pain inside of him in the character that he's playing because he's the last person.
But the dialogue that he has and in the scenes, there's something dark, like really dark and deadly serious about what he's saying, but he has this comedic way of sort of making light of it.

You don't know whether he's going to stab you or he's going to give you a hug. You don't know what's going to happen. He's really convincing in the scenes. And he's very, very cool to work with. He's extremely tall as well. He's really, really tall. I looked really, really short next to him.

Debbie continued, “It’s tough to watch. You know, there’s definitely some cringy moments in there for me. But honestly, I wouldn’t trade in the experience for anything because that’s what life’s all about. Taking chances, putting yourself out there, and I thought, why not? I’m ready to find my person and I’m so happy I had that experience with my family. I will treasure that for the rest of my life. I mean, who has that? …These are exciting times; we’ll see what happens!”
The Golden Bachelor Nation star opened up more in her caption about how she’s feeling since going home, as well as an encouragement to take chances.
She said, “Although it didn’t end the way I had hoped, I am still so grateful that I took this journey. It has opened up my heart and life in so many incredible ways. I would encourage you if you are feeling stuck in your life or struggling with loneliness, that you put yourself out there and take some chances. Get out of your comfort zone and never give up on finding love!”
