Since their time on the show, the two have kept fans updated with their lives online and Kelsey will often share about her mom.
Now, she is revealing on a podcast more about how Joey helps keep her mom’s memory “present” in her life.
In a new video online, Kelsey shared, “I think I told him early on, like, ‘I want you to ask about my mom. That’s not something I want you to feel like you have to avoid.’”
The Bachelor Nation star continued and revealed the specific ways in which Joey helps her celebrate her mom.
“I like talking about my mom. That’s what makes her still feel present in my life and close to me,” Kelsey expressed. “And then also, I always told him, ‘I want you to also make sure we’re celebrating her birthday every year.’ Little things like that. Or remember her death anniversary because that time is hard for me and I don’t want to have to tell you.”
Kelsey then reassured that Joey had been doing those things already but wanted him to know how important it was to her.
“It wasn’t like he really was not doing them. It just, I told him early on because I was like, ‘These are things that are important to me,’” she shared.
We love hearing from Kelsey and we’re so glad that she and Joey have found special ways to remember her mom. We are sending our love to Kelsey and her family always.
Red Sox To Retain Most Of Coaching Staff, Part Ways With Assistant Hitting Coach Ben Rosenthal

The Red Sox are parting ways with assistant hitting coach Ben Rosenthal, reports Chris Cotillo of MassLive. It’s possible that’ll be the only change to Alex Cora’s staff.
Rob Bradford of WEEI reported over the weekend that bench coach Ramón Vázquez, hitting coach Peter Fatse, pitching coach Andrew Bailey, bullpen coach Chris Holt, and base coaches José David Flores and Kyle Hudson would all be back. Cotillo reports that the same is true for assistant hitting coach Dillon Lawson, catching instructor Parker Guinn and game planning/run prevention coach Jason Varitek — assuming none of that group leave to pursue better opportunities with another club.
Rosenthal joined the Sox over the 2021-22 offseason. A former minor league player, Rosenthal had coached in college and in the Astros’ farm system before joining Boston’s MLB staff. For his first three seasons, Rosenthal worked alongside Luis Ortiz as an assistant hitting coach under Fatse. The Red Sox parted ways with Ortiz and added Lawson onto the MLB staff last season. It stands to reason they’ll now look for a new assistant hitting coach to split duties with Lawson.
