Jonathan Taylor’s $75,000 Donation to Fight Hunger in Wisconsin Highlights His Leadership Beyond the Field
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor continues to prove that his leadership extends far beyond the football field. Following a viral post from former President Barack Obama, Taylor stepped up to join the national campaign against hunger in America with a $75,000 donation to Feeding Wisconsin, an initiative dedicated to supporting families struggling with food insecurity across the state.

Obama’s post on X (formerly Twitter) highlighted the alarming statistic that “more than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable access to nutritious food.” Within hours of the post, Taylor, who has firmly established himself as one of the top running backs in the NFL, responded by contributing a generous sum to help alleviate the hunger crisis in Wisconsin.
The Colts’ star has been performing at an elite level this season. Through the first eight games of the year, Taylor has rushed for 900 yards and 6 touchdowns, consistently showing why he’s one of the most feared backs in the league. As the team fights for a top spot in the AFC, Taylor has proven that he is more than just a dominant force on the field—he is a player with a heart as big as his talent.
Speaking on his donation, Taylor expressed a deep connection to the state of Wisconsin, stating, “I’ve seen how hard it can be for families to get by, and if I can use my voice to make sure fewer kids go to bed hungry, then that’s the most important win I could ever have.”
Barack Obama, whose leadership on social issues has resonated with many throughout his career, praised Taylor’s selfless act. He posted on X, saying, “Jonathan Taylor reminds us that leadership isn’t just about performance — it’s about purpose. Proud to see another young athlete stepping up for America’s families.” The former president also took the time to send Taylor a handwritten letter, accompanied by a framed presidential photograph, acknowledging his efforts to make a positive impact off the field.
As Taylor continues to lead the Colts toward playoff contention, his influence reaches far beyond the locker room. Fans of the Indianapolis Colts are not only cheering for his on-field success—they are also rallying behind his commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
For the residents of Indianapolis, Taylor’s contribution has cemented his place as more than just the running back for their beloved team. In his words, “Winning games is important, but if I can make a difference in people’s lives, that’s the real victory.”
As the Colts prepare for their Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots at Lucas Oil Stadium, fans will no doubt be watching their star running back not just for his performance, but also for his unwavering commitment to improving his community and the nation as a whole.
This is what true leadership looks like—on and off the field.
49ers Linked to Trade for $14 Million 3-Sack Linebacker

The San Francisco 49ers are making some noise in the NFC this season, with the storied franchise being better than expected after the first eight weeks of the 2025 campaign, even with several injuries to key players on both sides of the football.

One of the biggest blows to the team in the first half of the season was the loss of superstar pass rusher Nick Bosa, who suffered a season-ending knee injury. Ever since losing Bosa for the year, the team has been trying to fill the void and will likely address that need ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4.
49ers Linked to Trade for Jaelan Phillips

Although the 49ers have been linked to Trey Hendrickson of the Cincinnati Bengals, the team seems to be keeping their options open. Another potential trade target for San Francisco is linebacker Jaelen Phillips of the Miami Dolphins, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Miami has received interest from the Eagles, 49ers, Patriots and others on OLB Jaelan Phillips (The Dolphins are looking for at least a third-rounder in return). They’re also getting calls on DE Bradley Chubb and OLB Matthew Judon.
It remains to be seen how aggressive general manager John Lynch and the 49ers’ front office will be in the coming days leading up to the trade deadline, especially after the team recently acquired defensive end Keion White in a deal with the New England Patriots.
However, the team does appear to still be open for business, with Phillips and other potentially in their crosshairs.
Mac Jones Will Start Week 9 Against the Giants

With Brock Purdy still not 100 percent due to his big toe inury, the 49ers will once again turn to Mac Jones to shoulder the load under center. It will be the fifth consecutive start for Jones, who will be trying to secure his fifth win as a starter this season.
Even though it appears that Purdy is inching closer and closer to returning as the starter, head coach Kyle Shanahan and his coaching staff are going with a cautious approach with their star quarterback in order to not risk further injury.
So far, Jones has played well as Purdy’s backup-turned-starter. He’s thrown for 1,597 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions with a 65.9 completion percentage. Although the interceptions are a little high when compared to the touchdown passes, the former first-round draft pick has played better than expected, especially considering the circumstances.
However, the 49ers have lost three of the last five games, with the team playing in arguably one of the best toughest divisions in football right now. The Seahawks Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams currently sit atop the NFC West division standings with records of 5-2.
There’s no margin for error for the 49ers moving forward, as they’ll need to get every win they can get, especially while they await the return for Purdy, who could get back under center as soon as Week 10 in a crucial divisional showdown with the Rams at Levi’s Stadium.
Chicago Cubs predicted to replace Kyle Tucker with projected $182 million Boston Red Sox superstar

The Chicago Cubs are coming off a 92-70 season that saw them finish second place in the National League Central Division behind the Milwaukee Brewers, who were 97-65. After defeating the San Diego Padres in the Wild Card round, Chicago fell to the Brewers 3-2 in their five-game NLDS series, ending their season.
Now that the World Series is over, the club and its fans has their eyes completely set on preparing for the 2026 MLB season in hopes that they can improve their roster, make it back to the postseason, and win another title themselves.
In order to do that, some tough decisions will need to be made and some serious money will need to be spent.
The Chicago Cubs are predicted to replace Kyle Tucker with Alex Bregman

Recently, Jim Bowden of The Athletic listed Cubs right fielder Kyle Tucker has his number one MLB free agent of the offseason. Per Bowden, it is expected that, despite his injuries in 2025, Tucker will command a contract worth over $400 million.
In other words, Chicago, who is not likely to hand out that kind of contract, will need to find a way to replace a player who hit .266/.377/.464 with 22 home runs, 73 RBI, and 25 stolen bases.
Jordan Campbell of Cubbies Crib suggests that they do so by signing third baseman Alex Bregman, who Bowden suggests will command a $182 million contract over six years:
“The guess here is that the Cubs make a strong push for Alex Bregman. The Cubs identified Bregman as the piece last offseason that could transition them from being a good team into a great team. They weren’t wrong, but the problem was that the Cubs made a pursuit of Bregman a priority far too late in the offseason. The Boston Red Sox likely will make a strong push to bring Bregman back, but the Cubs being involved shouldn’t be that surprising.”
Playing for the Boston Red Sox last season, Bregman hit .273/.360/.462 with 18 home runs and 62 RBI. He, like Tucker, also dealt with injuries last season that limited his production.
The thought of replacing Tucker, an outfielder, with Bregman, a third baseman, make sense since the Cubs already have Ian Happ, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Seiya Suzuki as their starting outfielders.
The problem, though, is that Bregman will be highly sought after in free agency, and the Cubs may get into a bidding war for his services.
