Jeremy Simon Shares His Side of the Susie Evans Drama and What He’d Do If She Returned to ‘BIP’
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation got to know Jeremy Simon on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” and again on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where he has formed a connection with Bailey Brown.
Jeremy also formed a brief connection with Susie Evans after going on a date with her and later faced drama after Brian Autz revealed to Bailey that Jeremy made a secret phone call to Susie and spilled comments about his unresolved feelings toward her.
Now, Jeremy is sharing his side of the drama on “Bachelor Happy Hour” and dishing what he would do if Susie came back to “Paradise.”

While reflecting back on his call to Susie, Jeremy admitted that he made a mistake.
“I will be the first one to say that I should not have reacted like that,” he confessed. “I get from everyone’s point of view, like, I had just gone on a date, why wouldn’t I extend that grace to Bailey without getting upset. I get it. I made a few mistakes… I can’t take it back and I just gotta move on and learn from it.”
Jeremy also explained why he decided to call her in the first place, and what he would’ve done if she’d said yes to his invitation to go back to the beach.
He said, “Clearly I wasn’t thinking that much, but it was as simple as, like, [Bailey] had said this to me, I feel betrayed, I had a tough time deciding who to give the rose to, let’s call Susie. And by the way, obviously Susie said no. If she had said yes, I don’t even know what I would do. I feel like I really wasn’t thinking… It was in the heat of the moment. Obviously I don’t like to live with regrets. I wish I handled it a bit differently. More maturely. [Which would’ve looked like] sleeping on it.”
Jeremy continued, also explaining his comments about unresolved feelings for Susie.

“That conversation itself, I don’t remember it all happening,” he admitted. “They were comments, some of them were jokes... I’m also the type of person, I’ll just say whatever. I’m not going to filter for the camera whether I mean it or not… but the whole timeline between the Susie phone call through those comments, it took place over three days. And we were filming for over three and a half weeks.”
Jeremy touched base as well on not telling Bailey before Brian did and revealed that he was planning to.
“The truth is, I was having thoughts of telling Bailey,” he said. “I wish I could’ve told her the day before. But the day before was our one-on-one date and a competition and if people don’t want to believe me, they don’t have to. But I genuinely was going to tell her, and the reason why I was pissed at Brian was because I feel like that opportunity was taken away from me. Sure, I technically had a few days of opportunity. I just felt like because it’s mine and Bailey’s relationship, I should be able to tell her when I feel like it’s the right time to tell her.”
