49ers Linked to Disgruntled Raiders Star Who Wants New Contract
There seem to be a few trade candidates around the NFL who make sense for multiple contending teams to pursue, but one who continues to pop up is Jakobi Meyers of the Las Vegas Raiders. It remains uncertain how many players the Raiders want to move on from, as they were expected to be a bit better entering the year.

The Raiders have struggled mightily with Geno Smith under center and Pete Carroll in his first season, but a lot of that can’t be blamed on someone like Meyers. Meyers has had a decent year after requesting a trade during the offseason due to his contract situation.
From the sound of things, many believe that Meyers could be dealt this time around, with Cody Benjamin of CBS naming him a fit for the San Francisco 49ers in a potential blockbuster deal. The 49ers continue to be derailed by injuries and could use another pass catcher due to where things stand.
“If there’s one pass catcher set to change teams before the deadline, it’s probably Meyers, who sought a trade even before the Raiders sunk to 2-5 on the season. He may not be a massive needle mover as a possession receiver, but he still offers valuable depth and solid hands. Las Vegas may proclaim plans to win now, but Pete Carroll’s operation just isn’t clicking,” he wrote.
Should the 49ers Add to the Wideout Group?
It’s been impressive that the San Francisco 49ers can continue to play the type of football they have despite the injuries they’ve dealt with. With Brandon Aiyuk out, trading Deebo Samuel, and others not being healthy, the 49ers sitting at 5-3 shows how good this organization is and understands how to win. If not, the 49ers would be in the dumps like other teams dealing with similar injuries.
Will the Raiders Offload Jakobi Meyers?
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Las Vegas Raiders‘ moving on from Meyers wouldn’t come as a surprise. He had him as the fifth-ranked player on his trade board, but didn’t list the San Francisco 49ers as a potential fit.
“Meyers wanted a new deal before the season and didn’t get one despite a trade request. He appears poised for 2026 free agency. He leads the Raiders in targets (42) despite missing Week 7, and he is drawing interest at an ideal time for a Raiders team in transition.
“But there’s no consensus leaguewide on exactly what Las Vegas will do. Multiple execs told me they believe the team is open to a deal but is not actively looking for trade partners. Another, however, believes the Raiders would prefer to wait until after the season to make any sweeping changes, due in part to the presence of Pete Carroll. The type of offers that roll in over the next two weeks could determine the course of action here,” he wrote.
His comments about the offers that come in being the deciding factor on what they want to do with him could indicate what’s to come. If the San Francisco 49ers aren’t willing to give up enough, they might not have an opportunity to trade for Meyers, but other wide receivers should be available to their liking.
Eagles HC Nick Sirianni Opens Up About Trade Deadline Ahead of Bye Week

The Philadelphia Eagles head into their bye week with the defending Super Bowl champions sporting a 6-2 record while sitting comfortably in first place in the NFC East division standings. The closest to the Eagles in the division is the Dallas Cowboys at 3-4-1, which shows the lead Philadelphia has when they return for Week 10 on the road against the Green Bay Packers.
Even though the Eagles are in a good position to defend their title right now, as it may be a foregone conclusion that they win the division title and secure one of the top seeds in the NFC, Philadelphia is far from perfect and might try to shake things up ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4.
Eagles’ Nick Sirianni Reveals Thoughts on NFL Trade Deadline

With the Eagles potentially making a move ahead of the NFL trade deadline, Philadelphia’s situation has become a hot topic across the league.
On Monday, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the trade deadline and how he’s always in “constant communication” with general manager Howie Roseman.
“Regardless of the scenario, whether we have a game, whether we have a short week with a trade deadline coming up, always constant communication with Howie [Roseman] about everything,” Sirianni said. “We find time to do the things that are necessary to help the team win, help the team get better, whatever it may be.
“Obviously, this week’s very important for us as far as our self-scout and identifying some different things, and always going to be a busy week. But I wouldn’t say because we don’t have a game this upcoming week, it’s any different, because you just find the time to do the things necessary to help get better and help the team win.”
With one week left until the buzzer sounds on the trade deadline, things could get interesting for Philadelphia, as the team’s brass assesses whether it is time to shake things up or stand pat.
All the attention right now is directed toward star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who appears to be still not happy with his role with the Eagles, which he has made abundantly clear in a very public fashion.
Will the Eagles Trade A.J. Brown?

With a week to go before the buzzer sounds on the NFL trade deadline, the consensus seems to be that the Eagles will not be trading the disgruntled Brown. He has made it clear on multiple occasions that he’s not happy with how he’s being used by the team from week to week, which has caused a distraction in the locker room and has been a constant storyline.
However, the team is sitting at 6-2 and well on its way to winning the NFC East division title and being a force to be reckoned with once again in the NFL playoffs. That said, Philadelphia does seem compelled to move Brown, but that could change quickly if the right trade call comes in before Nov. 4.
